This policy defines permitted and prohibited content on EKCOW, describes enforcement and reporting, and explains how we handle violations.
Official service and reports
EKCOW operates as an official service. Reports and enforcement follow this Policy. Target handling time is 3–7 business days (may vary by type and complexity).
1. Purpose
This policy is established to:
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all users
- Clearly define and prevent inappropriate content and conduct
- Operate reporting and enforcement transparently
- Maintain trust and quality on the platform
2. Permitted content
EKCOW allows healthy content including:
- Respectful communication: dialogue based on respect and courtesy
- Useful information: travel, culture, learning materials, etc.
- Constructive criticism: fact‑based, constructive opinions
- Commercial activity: lawful commercial activity (marketplace, business listings, etc.)
3. Prohibited content
3.1 Illegal content
- Copyright infringement: unauthorized reproduction or distribution of others’ works
- Defamation: spreading false facts that harm reputation
- Fraud: deceptive transactions using false information
- Illegal trade: drugs, weapons, counterfeits, etc.
- Criminal solicitation: content that incites or encourages crime
3.2 Spam and advertising
- Unauthorized ads: commercial advertising without permission
- Repetitive posting: repeated identical or similar posts
- Phishing: fraudulent links to steal personal information
- MLM / pyramid schemes: pyramid‑style recruitment
3.3 Harassment and hate
- Profanity: language inappropriate in public
- Hate speech: against race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, etc.
- Threats and harassment: harassment, stalking, cyberbullying
- Personal attacks: insulting or defamatory content targeting individuals
- Group targeting: discrimination or exclusion of groups or individuals
3.4 Sexual content
- Adult content: explicit sexual depictions, obscene material
- Exploitation: sexual content involving minors, child exploitation
- Sexual harassment: conduct causing sexual humiliation
- Illegal prostitution: advertising or intermediation of prostitution
3.5 Violence and danger
- Violent content: extreme violence, gore
- Self‑harm and suicide: content encouraging self‑harm or suicide
- Terrorism: content supporting or advocating terrorism
- Dangerous challenges: challenges that may cause physical harm
3.6 Privacy violations
- Unauthorized collection: collecting or disclosing personal information without consent
- Invasion of privacy: content that infringes others’ privacy
- Portrait rights: posting photos/videos without consent
- Data leaks: posting IDs, bank accounts, or other sensitive data
3.7 Other prohibited matters
- False information: spreading information known to be false
- Political incitement: extreme political incitement or hate
- Medical: unlicensed medical practice or misuse of medical information
- Disaster misinformation: false information about disasters or accidents
4. Enforcement
4.1 Warning stages
- First warning: warning message regarding the violation
- Second warning: notice of possible temporary suspension
- Third warning: notice of possible account sanctions
4.2 Types of sanctions
Minor violations
- Warning: warning message
- Content removal: deletion of the content
- Comment restriction: comment restriction (7 days)
Moderate violations
- Posting restriction: posting restricted (7–30 days)
- Temporary suspension: account suspended (7–30 days)
- Escalation: progressive sanctions based on repeated reports
Severe violations
- Permanent ban: permanent account suspension and access block
- IP block: block by IP address
- Legal action: referral to authorities and legal measures where laws are violated

4.4 Appeals
- Period: within 30 days of sanction notice

- Review: 7–14 days after submission
- Notice: by email or in‑app notification
5. How to report
5.1 What you can report
- Content: posts, comments, images, videos
- Users: inappropriate conduct by a user (via support/report). User block in the app is separate and can be set directly by users.
- Messages: Post‑based chat (PostChat), business inquiry chat, comments
- Commerce: marketplace or reservation issues
5.2 Report categories
- Illegal/crime: solicitation, fraud, illegal trade, terrorism
- Harassment/hate: harassment, hate, attacks, threats
- Sexual: adult content, exploitation, harassment, obscenity
- Spam/abuse: spam, unauthorized ads, repetition, phishing
- Privacy: unauthorized disclosure, privacy invasion, portrait rights
- Other: false information, self‑harm/suicide encouragement, violent content
5.3 Reporting steps
- Tap Report on the content or profile
- Select a reason from the categories above
- Add details (optional)
- Attach evidence (optional)
- Submit and receive a reference number
- Result notification (within 7–14 days)
5.4 Handling process
- Automated screening (AI-based filtering where used)
- Human review when needed
- Content review and violation determination
- Enforcement if necessary
- Notification to reporter
6. Reporter protection
- Anonymous reporting: reporter information is not disclosed to the reported party (optional)
- Retaliation prevention: blocking access from reported users to reporters
- Data protection: reporter data stored securely with encryption
- False reports: repeated malicious reports may be sanctioned
7. Youth protection
- Membership is restricted for children under 14
- Harmful content for users under 19 is blocked
- Reports of youth‑harmful content are prioritized
- Guardian reports and inquiries are supported
8. Prevention
All users should:
- Respect others and observe courtesy
- Share fact‑based information
- Create constructive, meaningful content
- Protect copyright and personal information
- Use reporting appropriately
