EKCOW은 「위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률」을 준수하며, 이용자의 위치정보를 안전하게 관리합니다.
제1조 (목적)
본 약관은 EKCOW(이하 "회사")가 제공하는 위치기반 서비스와 관련하여 회사와 이용자 간의 권리, 의무 및 책임사항, 기타 필요한 사항을 규정함을 목적으로 합니다.
제2조 (베타 서비스 기간 중 위치정보 처리)

- 베타 종료 시 수집된 위치정보는 정식 서비스로 이전됩니다
- 이전 과정에서 위치정보는 암호화되어 전송됩니다
- 베타 종료 후에도 위치정보 이용약관에 따라 보관 및 삭제 정책이 적용됩니다
제3조 (이용약관의 효력 및 변경)
- 본 약관은 서비스를 신청한 이용자 또는 개인위치정보주체가 본 약관에 동의하고 회사가 승낙함으로써 효력이 발생합니다.
- 회사는 약관을 변경하는 경우 그 변경 및 시행 일자를 명시하여 어플리케이션 또는 웹사이트를 통해 공지합니다.
- 이용자는 약관 변경에 대하여 동의하지 않을 권리가 있으며, 약관 변경에 동의하지 않는 경우 서비스 이용을 중단하고 탈퇴할 수 있습니다.
제4조 (위치정보의 수집 및 이용 목적)
4.1 수집 목적
회사는 다음의 목적으로 위치정보를 수집·이용합니다:
- 실시간 환율: 현재 지역 기준 통화·환율 표시 및 추천 (예: 해외 방문 시 해당 국가 통화 환율 표시)
- AI 다국어 번역: 위치 기반 현지어·번역 추천 (예: 방문한 국가의 현지어 번역 추천)
- 지역별 언어 학습: 지역별 언어·학습 콘텐츠 제공
- 영상·사진 공유: 게시 시 선택적 위치 태깅
- 중고마켓: 지역별 게시글 노출 및 거래 지역 표시
- 근처 업체 검색: 사용자 위치 기반 주변 업체 정보 제공
예시: 해외 방문 시 해당 국가 통화 환율 표시 및 현지어 번역 추천을 위해 사용됩니다.

4.3 번역통계 수집 (위치정보 이용약관에 포함)
회사는 위치정보 이용과 함께 익명 번역통계를 수집·이용할 수 있습니다. 본 조항에 동의하시면 아래 내용이 적용됩니다.
- 수집 목적: 다국어 번역 서비스·학습 서비스 품질 개선, 지역별 추천 번역·학습 콘텐츠 제공, 서비스 개선을 위한 익명 통계 분석
- 수집 항목: 번역 요청 언어쌍, 번역 결과 사용 여부, 지역(국가·도시 코드) 등 개인을 식별할 수 없는 익명 데이터만 수집
- 익명 처리: 개인정보(회원 ID, 기기 식별자 등)는 수집·저장하지 않으며, 통계 데이터는 집계·가공 후 개인 식별이 불가능한 형태로만 보관
- 보관 기간: 익명화된 통계는 서비스 개선 목적으로 회원 탈퇴 시까지 또는 별도 정책에 따라 보관 후 파기
- 동의 철회: 앱 설정 > 동의 관리에서 「위치정보 이용 및 번역통계 수집」 동의를 철회할 수 있으며, 철회 시 해당 서비스(번역·학습·지도 등) 이용이 제한될 수 있습니다.
서비스 이용과의 관계: 번역 서비스, 학습 서비스, 구글 지도 연동, 위치 포함 게시 등은 본 약관(위치정보 이용 및 번역통계 수집)에 동의한 경우에만 이용 가능합니다. 동의하지 않으시면 해당 기능 이용이 제한됩니다.

제6조 (위치정보의 이용 및 제공)
6.1 이용
- 회사는 수집된 위치정보를 제4조에 명시한 목적으로만 이용합니다.
- 위치정보는 실시간으로 수집되어 즉시 사용되며, 별도 저장하지 않습니다 (단, 통계 목적의 지역 정보는 익명화하여 보관)
6.2 제3자 제공
회사는 이용자의 위치정보를 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다. 단, 다음의 경우는 예외로 합니다:
- 이용자가 사전에 동의한 경우
- 법령에 의해 요구되는 경우
제7조 (개인위치정보의 보유 및 이용 기간)
- 실시간 위치정보: 서비스 제공 즉시 파기 (저장하지 않음)
- 검색 기록: 서비스 개선을 위해 익명화하여 최대 1년 보관
- 통계 데이터: 개인을 식별할 수 없도록 가공하여 보관
- 회원 탈퇴 시: 모든 위치 관련 정보 즉시 삭제
제8조 (개인위치정보의 파기 절차 및 방법)
- 위치정보는 수집 즉시 사용 후 파기됩니다
- 보관이 필요한 경우 개인을 식별할 수 없도록 익명화 처리 후 통계 목적으로만 사용
- 전자적 파일은 복구 불가능한 방법으로 영구 삭제
제9조 (개인위치정보주체의 권리)
이용자는 언제든지 다음의 권리를 행사할 수 있습니다:
- 위치정보 수집 동의 철회: 앱 설정 또는 기기 설정에서 위치 권한 거부
- 위치정보 이용/제공 일시정지: 앱 설정에서 위치 기능 OFF
- 위치정보 이용/제공 사실 확인: 고객센터 문의 (contact@wisetune.site)
- 위치정보 삭제: 회원 탈퇴 시 모든 정보 삭제
권리 행사 방법:
- 앱: 설정 > 위치 권한 > OFF
- iOS: 설정 > 개인정보 보호 > 위치 서비스 > EKCOW > 허용 안 함
- Android: 설정 > 위치 > 앱 권한 > EKCOW > 허용 안 함
제10조 (법정대리인의 권리)
회사는 만 14세 미만 아동으로부터 위치정보를 수집·이용하지 않습니다. 만 14세 미만의 경우 회원가입이 제한됩니다.
제11조 (위치정보의 안전성 확보 조치)
- 암호화: 위치정보 전송 시 HTTPS/TLS 암호화
- 접근 제한: 위치정보 접근 권한 최소화
- 실시간 파기: 사용 즉시 파기로 유출 위험 최소화
- 익명화: 저장이 필요한 경우 개인 식별 불가능하게 처리
- 보안 프로그램: 해킹, 악성코드 방지 시스템 운영
제12조 (위치정보의 이용제한)
회사는 다음의 경우를 제외하고는 위치정보를 이용하지 않습니다:
- 이용자가 사전에 동의한 목적
- 다른 법률에 특별한 규정이 있는 경우
제3자 제공 금지: 회사는 이용자의 위치정보를 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다.
제13조 (손해배상)
- 회사가 위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률 제15조 내지 제26조의 규정을 위반한 행위로 이용자에게 손해가 발생한 경우, 회사는 그 손해를 배상할 책임이 있습니다.
- 이용자가 본 약관의 규정을 위반하여 회사에 손해가 발생한 경우, 이용자는 회사에 대하여 그 손해를 배상할 책임이 있습니다.
제14조 (분쟁의 조정 및 기타)
- 회사는 위치정보와 관련된 불만 사항을 처리하기 위한 고객센터를 운영합니다
- 이용자는 회사의 위치정보 이용·제공에 대해 동의를 전부 또는 일부 철회할 수 있습니다
- 이용자는 언제든지 위치정보의 수집·이용·제공에 대한 동의를 철회할 수 있습니다
제16조 (약관의 변경)
- 회사는 위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률, 기타 관계 법령을 위배하지 않는 범위에서 이 약관을 변경할 수 있습니다.
- 약관을 변경하는 경우에는 변경 및 시행일자, 변경 내용을 지속적으로 공지합니다.
- 변경된 약관에 대한 정보를 알지 못해 발생하는 이용자 피해는 회사에서 책임지지 않습니다.
부칙
제1조 (시행일) 본 약관은 2026-04-01부터 시행됩니다.
EKCOW complies with the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information and manages your location data securely.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set forth rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users regarding location‑based services provided by EKCOW (the “Company”) and other necessary matters.
Article 2 (Location data during Beta)
Important: The Service is currently in Beta.
- Beta period:
- Beta start date: 2026-04-01

- Location data may be collected for experimental features
- Accuracy options may change or be added
- Processing may change at Beta end with prior notice
- After Beta:
- Collected location data will transition to official service
- Data will be encrypted in transit
- Retention and deletion follow these Terms after Beta
Article 3 (Effect and changes)
- These Terms take effect when a user applies for the Service or, as a subject of personal location information, agrees to these Terms and the Company accepts.
- If the Company changes the Terms, it will announce the change and effective date via the app or website.
- Users may refuse to agree to changes; if they do not agree, they may stop using the Service and withdraw.
Article 4 (Purposes of collection and use)
4.1 Purposes
The Company collects and uses location information for:
- Real‑time exchange rates: currency and rate display and recommendations by region
- AI translation: location‑based local language and translation recommendations
- Language learning: regional learning content
- Media sharing: optional location tagging on posts
- Marketplace: regional listing and trade area display
- Nearby businesses: search results based on user location
Example: when traveling abroad, currency rates and local translation recommendations may use location.
4.2 Collection methods

- IP‑based location (web)
4.3 Anonymous translation statistics (included in these Terms)
Together with location use, the Company may collect and use anonymous translation statistics. If you agree to this section:
- Purposes: improving translation and learning quality, regional recommendations, anonymous analytics
- Items: language pairs, usage of results, region codes (country/city) — no personally identifiable data
- Anonymization: no collection or storage of member IDs or device identifiers; statistics are aggregated
- Retention: anonymous statistics may be kept until withdrawal or as separately stated, then destroyed
- Withdrawal: you may withdraw consent in App > Consent settings; translation, learning, maps, etc., may be limited
Relationship to the Service: translation, learning, Google Maps integration, and location‑tagged posts require consent to these Terms; without consent, those features may be limited.

Article 6 (Use and disclosure)
6.1 Use
- Location information is used only for the purposes in Article 4.
- Location is collected in real time and used immediately; it is not stored separately (except anonymized regional statistics).
6.2 Third parties
The Company does not disclose location information to third parties except:
- Where the user has consented in advance
- Where required by law
Article 7 (Retention and use period)
- Real‑time location: destroyed immediately after use (not stored)
- Search history: anonymized, up to 1 year for improvement
- Statistics: stored in non‑identifiable form
- Upon account deletion: all location‑related information deleted immediately
Article 8 (Destruction)
- Location information is destroyed after immediate use
- If retention is necessary, data is anonymized and used only for statistics
- Electronic files are permanently deleted by irrecoverable means
Article 9 (Rights of data subjects)
Users may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Withdraw consent: deny location permission in app or device settings
- Suspend use/provision: turn off location in app settings
- Confirm facts of use/provision: contact customer support (contact@wisetune.site)
- Deletion: all information deleted upon membership withdrawal
How to exercise rights:
- App: Settings > Location permission > Off
- iOS: Settings > Privacy > Location Services > EKCOW > Never
- Android: Settings > Location > App permissions > EKCOW > Deny
Article 10 (Legal representatives)
The Company does not collect or use location information from children under 14; membership is restricted for under‑14 users.
Article 11 (Security measures)
- Encryption: HTTPS/TLS for transmission
- Access control: minimized access to location data
- Immediate destruction: reduces leakage risk
- Anonymization: non‑identifiable when storage is needed
- Security programs: protection against hacking and malware
Article 12 (Limits on use)
The Company does not use location information except:
- Purposes consented to in advance
- Cases specially provided by other laws
No disclosure to third parties: the Company does not provide users’ location information to third parties.
Article 13 (Damages)
- If the user suffers damage due to the Company’s violation of Articles 15–26 of the Location Information Act, the Company shall compensate such damage.
- If the user breaches these Terms and causes damage to the Company, the user shall compensate the Company.
Article 14 (Dispute resolution)
- The Company operates a customer center for location‑related complaints
- Users may withdraw consent to use or provision in whole or in part
- Users may withdraw consent to collection, use, and provision at any time
Article 16 (Changes to these Terms)
- The Company may change these Terms within the scope of the Location Information Act and other applicable laws.
- When changing the Terms, the Company continuously announces the change, effective date, and content.
- The Company is not liable for user damage due to lack of knowledge of changes.
Supplementary provisions
Article 1 (Effective date) These Terms take effect on 2026-04-01.
